Craziest First Baptism

¡Hola!

OK, I had a pretty crazy week (definitely more busy than last week, lol).  I'll start with a real quick summary of the highlights, and then I'll start explaining the miracles.

Highlights:
-Elder Park is better (no longer sick)

-I went bowling for pday

-Found out the temperatures for our mini oven are listed in Celsius, not Fahrenheit (Duh! It makes so much more sense now)

-We got chewed out twice for dumb things (my poor comp got personally insulted and attacked by the Elders Quorum President and the 1st Counselor, both separately for 20-30min, because we didn't tell them about our baptism 10 days in advance, which we didn't know until 5 days before and couldn't wait longer.  Can't please everyone I guess)

-I dreamed in spanish (sure I dreamed that I couldn't understanding anyone and people kept giving me the wrong food because I couldn't talk to them, but still, I dreamed in spanish)

-We answered somebody's prayer.  We felt like we should leave the house even though we had more studies to do.  So we did and we found a lady who asked for our help.  She was praying for angels to help her in moving her new furniture into the house, and then we showed up.  She couldn't stop thanking us and the Lord for sending us, and we've got a lesson with her later this week.

Okay, now I want to talk about my first baptism.  Her name is Celeste.  She has a really hard time remembering things.  We had to teach her very very simply, and we would frequently go and teach the exact same principles as the day before if she didn't remember.  That was actually super helpful to me because I could learn to teach really simply and learn the best way to describe things simply in spanish.

Elder Park baptized her.  I got up to witness.  It took me way too long to figure out the key to the font doors, but we got them open.  I watched as Élder Park dunked her under the water, she came back up, and fell completely limp...

Everyone started panicking for a second.  Elder Park held her for a moment confused, then panicked, not sure what was happening.  He supported her over to the edge of the font.  A few members rushed to help.  We got her out of the font and laid her down.  We were trying to help her get up and make sure she was alive.  After about a minute she got up and walked into the bathroom like nothing happened.

Crazy!  She fainted during her baptism!  We think she had a fear of the water, and when she went under she tensed up super tight and fainted.  Fun first baptism!

Until next time,
Élder Blacker

Tetedé (if you've heard of maté, it's the cold version of that.  Tastes like grass water, probably because it's made of grass)
Parts of the streets and houses in my area so y'all know what it looks like
A plant they have a lot of here, all the branches are thick thorns
