Greetings, This week was awesome!!!  Last week at the very end of my email I mentioned my emergency transfers.  Before I talk about how amazing my new area is, I want to share a quick story I had forgotten about from my other area. We were sharing with a woman of about 70 years (Why does that sound so weird in english?  I can't think of a better way to put it though lol).  We had been inviting her to church every week for the past 6 or so weeks, and every time she said no, but gave us hope for the next time.  She was super awesome.  She always read in the book of mormon and loved to talk with us about the gospel, she just never came to church.  We determined that this would be the last time we shared with her if she didn't come to church.   She always told us she was too busy.  But this time, we didn't even have to invite her, she told us "I can't come to church this week, sorry boys."  And when we asked her why not she told us, "We...

My mom saved my life this week...she bought me a little fan before I left. Okay, first piece of advice: NEVER go to a 3rd world country where temperatures are consistently above 100° with plans to walk all day everyday... unless you have Jesus on your side.  If you have Jesus, you've made the right decision. Here a little excerpt from my journal to help describe what it's been like this week.  I wrote this last Tuesday: "It felt like 117° out today. The forecast says it'll get hotter tomorrow and keep going up. We work for 11 hours a day, the entirety spent walking in the sun. We got invited in by a few people, I didn't know it was possible to sweat so much sitting indoors. Many people don't have fans or ac, and the humidity makes the shade basically worthless.  In fact, the most I sweat all day was inside a newly built house.  Being inside only makes sure you'll never feel even a slight breeze.  "We spent the whole day sweating non-stop. I started to ...

(Hi everyone!) (this week was crazy!!) (my new comp is hilarious, we had an amazing week, I love Paraguay especially the food, my Spanish is amazing and I feel fully capable of missionary work and talking to others, and the moose is just because I like mooses) we have a member in the word that cant read, so he always trys to communicate with just emojis.  Thought I'd try it out.  But seriously, I hope everyone is well.  I'd love to get an email from y'all about how everything is going. I had a really great week!  My new comp, Elder Woodward, is really awesome.  I feel like my first comp, Elder Park, taught me to enjoy my mission.  But Elder Woodward is teaching me how to enjoy the missionary work.  He's such a hardworker, but he also makes every second fun.  He's really taught me the joy of spreading the gospel and sharing my testimony.  He's also a talker.  I know people that like to talk, but no one like him.  There's never a sile...

Heyyyy I had a crazy week!  It just might not sound crazy in an email lol. First of all, one of my ZL's went home Tuesday, and I spent the majority of the week in a trio with my other ZL and my comp the DL.  During this time as a trio... nobody did their exercises, we didn't have comp study, we got home late, we left our mission boundaries, spent almost an entire day in the house, then we spent WAY too much time at members houses, and hardly did any real missionary work.  Now that doesn't sound right does it?  I promise though, there were valid reasons to all of them... to almost all of them at least.  It sounds like a lot of effort to explain though, so just know I had a great time with these guys lol. We also had transfers this week!! I'm now with Élder Woodward!  He's super awesome.  He works super hard and is always happy.  He has the energy of a 5-year-old on a constant sugar high.  It's a little crazy sometimes because he'll change topi...
