Ay! Ay De Este Pueblo!
The hosts yet advance. We have employed every defense we can think of, yea even splashing water and using toilet paper to cover the cracks, yet the ants go marching on.
Well hello everybody! Yeah this week we don't have a smelly-refrigerator-drip-pan problem, but instead an ant problem.
Other than the ant problem we have...
-a family of 10 (5 old enough to get baptized) that all came to church
-a wedding on Friday
-a good pday where we saw the great and spacious building and played soccer
-a jar of Costco brand pecans...somehow. One of our friends has it and we have no idea how it got here all the way from America
-a canceled baptism last Sunday
-more friends or converts (that got baptized within my time here) at church than other members (that was kinda cool, but there were only a few member there)
-many, many diabolical problems within the branch, most of which have to do with the members breaking the law of chastity, but I won't be getting into the details here, I just feel like it's not the right place
And yeah, I'm feeling super well right now, I did hit a low or two during the week, but I just really focus on the scriptures and I start to feel better. I started reading Jesus the christ too. I love it. I started this week and now I'm on chapter 14. I highly recommend!
Other than that the work just keeps moving along. We are seeing many miracles as we are teaching a family that lives an hour and a half long walk away. Twice there was a school bus that stopped and asked if we wanted a ride. We of course said yes, but I'm telling you, two missionaries in a school bus of kids ages 5-12 that's so full that half the kids are standing...not a very comfortable experience. I felt soooo awkward. But if God wants to take away my 90 min walk and replace it with a bus full of kids, I'll take it.
Just want to say that I know God lives! The miracles I see everyday prove it! You can see those miracles too, you just have to look for them and work for them! (Work referencing to the faith that has to been shown before God can work miracles, see Ether 12:12)
Love most of yall! Have a great week!
