Falling Through Space 🌌

This week was incredible.  On tuesday we had the chance to watch our recent convert, Cesar, baptize his younger brother Anderson.  It was such a cool experience.  Cesar has only been a member of the Church for 1 month and he was able to help his 12 year old brother follow his example.  Everytime we go over to teach them it is so much fun.  They always love to think of deep questions and ask us when we arrive.  Paraguayans are very innocent people.  Anderson and Cesar both get almost all A's in their classes, but their questions are so weird.  They ask us if the world is flat or round.  We explain that it is indeed round and they respond, "Well why are we always on the bottom?  I want Paraguay to be on the top.  Also how do we not fall off the world if we are under it?"  We dove into a really long explanation of how gravity works and that if you dug a hole through the middle of the earth you would not fall all the way though and...

The Last Ride

Hello everybody.  This is it.  The end of an era.  I don't know how much I'll miss Paraguay, but I'll definitely miss the paraguayans and the mission. My last week of the mission was mostly spent saying goodbye to people.  I only had two transfers here in Las Lomitas, but that's the longest I've been in an area since the office.  We finally got in touch with Nilfa (my most recent convert) again after a couple weeks.  Hopefully her younger sister gets baptized soon.  I was also grateful to have general conference during the final few days of the mission.  It gave me an opportunity to kinda reflect on all the lessons that I have learned over the last two years.  For the last session of conference, we went to my favorite members' house with Elder Larson and Elder North.  I left from there and said my last goodbye to my comp Elder Richey and to the other Elders.  I took an uber to the office that night completel...

What A Special Time

Hey everybody! I realize that you're probably a little confused. I seem to send an email every 5-12 days and it's pretty inconsistent. Sometimes I send it out on Monday, other times on Saturday. So when is my actual pday? Truth is... it's on Saturday... but only sometimes. We frequently have random things to do on Saturday and simply work so much that we run out of time to have pday. For example, the Saturday before Christmas I was in Ciudad del Este doing a Christmas conference. I got back late Saturday night completely exhausted. We took pday on Monday but I had so much work that I just worked for the first half and then we did our shopping and basically only had pday for an hour. Then we took pday again on Saturday, only 5 days later, but in reality I hadn't had a real pday for a couple weeks. So if my email writing is weird or inconsistent, sorry haha. Anyway...
