Guys, I'm In Paraguay!

Helloooo

It is kind of weird.  I'm like actually in Paraguay.  Things are different here but I have been out for long enough that it is no longer weird.  I just casually run through stop signs as if that happened everywhere.  Oddly enough thats just a paraguay thing.

Anywayyyyy.  These last two weeks were pretty tiring.  We had 16 missionaries go home.  They came to the office a week ago on Friday and didnt leave until tuesday.  It is really hard to work with so many missionaries in the office.  Most of everything i did was to help them before they left.  I recorded all of their final testimonies (which is actually super fun to make the video)  and helped them pack their bags light enough for the scales, and drove them around everywhere.  They literally went everywhere haha.  We had to drive them to the temple, to dinner like 3 times, to the airport at about 7 random times that were conveniently staggered to make sure I did not get any sleep (12am, 3am, 6am, 12pm and 6pm)  I was just going back and forth to the airport for about 20 hours.  It was really fun.  Other than that I have been really busy, but it is all just normal office things.  Here are some highlights:

-Going to buy more magnets and other office supplies that President needed
-Sending 5 missionaries to the hospital in a day (I was on the phone for sooooooo long.  I think it totaled up to 2hs of nonstop phone calls)
-Taking some Hermanas back to their area from the hospital
-Making a blooper reel out of the testimony video because the group that left was hilarious
-Finding Elder Gunthers wallet miraculously (we had an impression to go buy empanadas and we found it on the ground in the street where it had been abandoned about 12 hours before)
-Finding out yesterday that I will be making a large Christmas video using pictures from the entire year from all 200 missionaries.
-One of the few times we went out teaching it was pooring rain!  We went expecting it so i was getting drenched for about 45 minutes just walking with lightning all around me.
-A bunch of my converts from 2 areas ago went to the temple for the first time!  I went with them and it was so cool!
-Helping the APs move

I'm going to keep it short this week,  but this next week should be full of exciting adventures!

¡Qué Pucha!

Hey everyone!  Hope you are well! First I want to explain the title.  Qué is kinda like how, like if I were to say, "How cool!"  Pucha is roughly translated to "the pits."  That's where we were this week... the pits. At least for my comp anyway.  I'm doing totally fine, but Elder Park got real sick this week.   We think he has dengue.  It's been going around here a lot.  It's symptoms are bad headaches, body aches, and overall just feeling really weak and tired.  So Élder Park has been sick like this since Thursday, and we haven't been able to do much since.  The good news... I've slept a lot.  And even better I've studied a lot.  We've been having a surprisingly good time while Elder Park is sick.  We've tried to keep our missionary purpose in mind and honestly I've had some of the best days on my mission recently. Op!

Op! I love that greeting.  Paraguayans are very specific about the way they greet people.  Op is used to acknowledge the presence of someone you know, but you don't necessarily want to talk to them.  It's almost like honking your car horn in passing. Anywayyy.... I hope you're all doing well.  My week went by really quickly.  We honestly didn't see much success.  There are days where I don't see success and usually I know that I could have done better.  This week was different.  I gave it my all and still nothing happened.  My area is the exact same as last week.  But that's okay.  I feel really happy about it.  I was really focusing on my love for God and for the people this week, and I saw the results.  I was simply really happy and ready to serve, success or not. Hey everyone!  Another week already! Ok... actually I feel like a lot happened this week, so buckle up.  We'll see how long this email is. First of all, imagine this... a Mexican missionary goes to the States for his mission.  He goes to a Mexican restaurant in his first area, wanting a little comfort food to remind of home.  He sees on the menu "Quesadilla".  As he is preparing his freshly learned English to order his food, he remembers that, in English, we pronounce certain letters differently.  He studies the menu carefully, until he confidantly stands in front of the expecting American employee, and orders a "Qu-e-saw-dil-a", carefully saying it the most American way he knows how.  Imagine the reaction of the american employee!  This mexican missionary couldn't even pronounce a spanish word right!  Imagine the mexican missionary and how foolish he feels!
