15 Minutes To Baptism

I feel like I say this every time but, this week was crazy!!  I actually have to adopt the day-by-day format because so much happened this week.  But still, I'll try to keep it short.

Tuesday:  We had interviews with President and I stumped him with a question that he couldn't respond to.  I asked him what the difference is between a law and a commandment.  We know from Elder Uchtdorf that the first great law of the heavens is obedience, but we know from Jesus Christ that the first great commandment is to love God.  But I don't know the difference between a commandments and a law (just something I was thinking about).  Anyway, that was kinda fun to stump him lol.  He told me that it surprised him to not know the answer.

Wednesday: I got sick.  We left the house and walked a lot, but I had no energy.  It was a rough day, but I endured

Thursday: My comp got sick.  We had some mild diarrhea struggles and lack of energy that made the work hard but still doable.

Friday: Things really started to pick up.  We got better and hit a groove.  We found like 7 new people and taught a ton.  We helped so many people and really saw so many miracles.  At one point, we had 6 baptisms planned for Saturday, but things had fallen through with many and we only had one

Saturday: Now things are really interesting.  We found soooo many people and had sooooo many answers to prayers, it was incredible.  We did the baptism interview for our friend and helped sooo many people recognize Christ more in their lives.  Things got really crazy with scheduling and everything and we moved the baptism to Sunday.

Sunday: The most crazy day of my mission (maybe).  We got to church and the branch president said, "The first presidency has sent a letter that we won't have second hour of church so that everyone can spend time with our families... BUT, we will be having a baptism immediately after first hour and we'd love it if everyone could stay."  That was kinda funny.

We were getting ready to change our clothes for the baptism, when one of the friends we've been teaching came up to us and said, "Hey, can I get baptized too?"  We thought for a sec and said, "Well you've come to church enough and we've taught you all the lessons, so yeah.  You just have to have the interview."  We called our district leader and he did the interview, then she got changed and got baptized within like 15 min!  We didn't even know she came to church!  It was absolutely crazy!  An unplanned baptism came to life right before our eyes!

Also later on Sunday, we learned that one of our friends gained a testimony of the book of mormon.  She just sent us a message saying, "I prayed and yes, God told me it's true."  It made me soooo excited!  I didn't realize I could find sooo much joy in so few words.  It is quite amazing.

I think that's all.  I testify that God is really there!!! He's been answering all my prayers all week and it's really a miracle!!

Love yall
