Another 3 For The Lord

Hey everybody!  Hope yall had a good week! We had transfers! I'm still here being blessed in the promised land called pirayú, where the missionary work moves along incomparablely fast because there has never been a more blessed people over the face of the earth.  (I realize I exaggerate a little but hey, I like it here).  I received my new comp, Elder Ulloa from Honduras, and he's the best! I absolutely love learning from him and especially teaching with him. We had three more baptisms on Sunday!  Remember the super awesome family that I've been talking about recently? The 3 kids got baptized!  My old comp, Elder Smith, got unexpectedly transferred on Friday and missed it all, but hey, he did his part right?  It was a really hectic day full of waiting for nonexistent buses and trying to not cancel our baptisms, but in the end the Lord blessed us with what we needed and they got baptized!  The best part was afterwards when the dad told me, "These baptis...

Round And Round We Go

Hello again, This week has been pretty interesting.  For one thing, it's been cold.  I've been going around wearing basically everything I have.  Half of Paraguay is sick because of the weather, including me.  Nobody wants to leave their house because nobody can stand the cold.  We've been outside all day everyday and almost no one has received us.  The worst part is, it was 50 degrees outside.  That shouldn't even be cold.  But again, that's 70 degrees less than what I'm used to.  It's ridiculous. On Wednesday I was sick from eating slightly raw chicken.  We stayed in the house all day and during this time we had 3 progressing friends text us that they couldn't continue meeting with us.  And remember that super awesome family that I talked about last week?  Their dad was one of them.  Imagine how depressing that could be.  I was pretty exhausted and intent on sleeping, so it didn't end up bothering me too much, but I...

A Thirsty Fish

Alright guys, it has been a couple weeks so I'll see what I can remember! First of all, teaching people is the best.  We're working with a family of 6 people right now and they are the absolute best!  I don't think there's a better feeling in the world than when a mom sends you picture of all of her kids reading the book of mormon, or when someone sends you a text that says "I definitely see myself getting baptized," or when you think your friends didn't show up to church but you look behind you and there's an entire family sitting there smiling at you, or when a 9 year-old kid walks up to you and tells you he prayed about it and knows that the Book of Mormon is true.  What more could I want as a missionary?  This family is perfect and I love teaching them so much.  It's a once in a lifetime blessing that I'm experiencing right now.  I hope that my brief description of my missionary joy has helped yall to feel a bit of this joy as well. Also th...
