Mba'e Ajapota Piko?

Well hello there!  How was your week?

Not surprisingly, I couldn't remember what I did this week.  To help me remember, I took a look at the photos that I had taken during the week and found out that I only had pics of the broken laptop.  What a shame.  I have been working for more than a month on fixing this thing and the only thing I have achieved has been annoying the IT workers at Dell and at the Church until they have essentially told me to shove off.  Yayyyyyy.  That was funnnnn.

Other than that, I had a pretty good week.  I took a lot of people to do the whole visa thing all over again and waiting in the Paraguayan version of the DMV brought me a lot of joy.  Just so you know, the Paraguayan DMV is a little different than the states.  It works a little bit more like the one shown in Zootopia.

I also waited in lines at the airport.  (It is really hard to make this email sound interesting)

Something actually exciting that happened is that I got a new comp!  He will likely be my comp for about 6 months, so that was rather important news for me.  His name is Elder ______ (I had to block out his last name because his presence here in the office is still a surprise to the rest of the mission!).  He is a super great guy though, so I am pretty happy about it.  The story is actually pretty crazy.  President was having a really hard time finding Elder Pearce's replacement, so he called all of us office elders in to help him.  After an unnecessarily long talk, we finally decided.  We had been deciding between 4 or 5 people for a long time, but finally the winner was decided.  We left and President prayed about our decision.  The Lord responded with a no.  And then a name came to his mind and it was someone we had never even thought of.  President finished his prayer and immediately called the missionary.  And here he is.

There were also a few nights in a row where I slept very little.  I went to the airport at 11:30pm, and then again at 3:00am, and then while waiting at the airport some hermanas called us and we took them to the hospital.  Having had two hours of sleep, we walked in the apartment door right as our alarms went off to go do more visas stuff!  So we just got ready and left without sleeping.  The normal missionary spends about 10 hours a day working outside in the street.  That day I had my 10 hours in before 1:30pm!  I continued working until 11:30 at night, so I guess I worked a double day!

That kinda sums it up this week!  DMV, hospital, airport, tech problems, and new comp!

Love y'all!

I attached a sample of Guarani just for fun.  Try to tell when one word stops and another starts. (voice recording)
